I was first introduced to Synergy supplements six months ago by Julie, a friend and fellow fitness professional. To say I was disinterested would be an understatement. For several years I have taken a basic multi-vitamin, and whey protein is a convenient staple in most body builders’ diets, but I was otherwise of the view that supplements were a waste of money. It was a case of saying “thanks but no thanks” to Julie, and continuing with my supplement free regime. She did, however, give me some literature and samples to take away, alongside dozens of testimonials from clients of hers who had achieved amazing results using Synergy.

In the weeks that followed I didn’t give the supplements much further thought. I occasionally saw Julie bounding around the gym, vivacious and full of energy. I teach one or two group exercise classes per week, which I find tiring enough, but Julie teaches one or two every single day! For a female in her fifties I was pretty impressed, but assumed that she must have a toy boy at home to put that spring in her step!

A few weeks later I was invited to a nutrition seminar that was being held at the gym, whereupon I met a whole host of Julie’s clients, colleagues and friends, who all seemed to have that same zest for life. I recognised many of the attendees from the gym and group exercise classes, where I had seen them giving everything to their training. Needless to say, each and every one of them swore by Synergy supplements. Some even attested to overcoming major health concerns, such as high blood pressure and chronic pain, by using them.

So, I decided to give Synergy a try. The only drawback was that I was pretty skint, having just set up my Personal Training business, but Julie explained how I could try the products for free and see how I got on. So, I placed an order for the ‘V3 System’, which contains Mistify, Phytolife and Pro-Argi 9+. I decided to trial them for a month, and to see if any of my clients and friends would do the same. Four months later I am still using the products, as well as further items in the range.

This blog post is not a sales pitch. Over the coming weeks I will simply ‘Spotlight’ each supplement, explain the health benefits, and outline the pros and cons as experienced by myself and my clients. All of the products are organic and are made of the highest quality ingredients. I look after my body by training hard, resting well and feeding it nutritious food that supports my goals – as a bikini competitor, but also as someone who wants to lead a long and healthy life. I always tell the girls I coach for competitions that the best looking bodies, both on stage and in life, are HEALTHY bodies. Synergy takes us to Elite Health.

So, the focus of this post is the Antioxidant drink ‘Mistify’. Mistify is a liquid supplement that contains Acai berry, blueberry, raspberry, cranberry, bilberry and pomegranate extracts. It also contains Vitamin B6 and Green Tea extract. So, why does this all mean? Well, Mistify has one of the absolute highest antioxidant values of any supplement on the market. Moreover, just 30ml contains the antioxidant protection that you would get from eating a whopping 3.5kg of fruit. So, why not eat the fruit instead? In these modern times our fields and soil are so over farmed, and our fruits are commonly sprayed with insecticides and pesticides, that the vitamin, mineral and antioxidant value in what we eat is far lower than what we would expect. Mistify fills this gap.

For athletes, and anyone undertaking regular exercise, Mistify can help support training in the following ways:

  • Firstly, it protects the body against free radical damage, which is a natural byproduct of exercise and modern day living.
  • It contains anti-inflammatory properties, helping the body to recover quicker and be ready to train again.
  • It helps support cardiovascular health, helping you smash that extra set or run that extra mile.
  • It helps support healthy digestive function. A healthy gut means better absorption of the foods you eat, meaning greater potential for muscle building and fat loss.
  • It supports the immune system, meaning fewer coughs, colds and that feeling of being run down.
  • It promotes a feeling of vigour and energy, hence why Julie is so full of beans!

As for me, the thing that Mistify has revolutionised, is my skin. After competing twice this year I was really suffering from breakouts across my forehead and cheeks. Even though I was back in a calorie surplus and eating a broad spectrum of foods, my skin was still a mess. Being brutally honest, in the first month of using Synergy supplements I didn’t notice much of a difference. But, three months later, my spots had entirely cleared up. I mix one “shot” of Mistify with water every morning and, for the first time in a long time, I am finally feeling confident enough to step out of the house without having NARS concealer plastered all over my skin. If this is what Mistify has done to my body externally, I know that it must have done wonders internally too.

As for my clients, the most astounding difference is their ability to recover from our intense training sessions together. I recommend that they take Mistify post workout, alongside a protein rich meal, in order to aid recovery. After a month of using Synergy supplements my clients are reporting reduced DOMS (muscle soreness), as well as improved sleep and a sense of wellbeing.

If you are interested in trying Mistify yourself, or any of the products in the Synergy range, please feel free to contact me via my website, email or on social media. Alternatively, head over to www.synergyworldwide.com and use my ID 1851906 to receive a discounted rate on your order.
